the art of life
Seven movements through one day, lived on purpose. Read slowly. There is no rush here.
first movement
Wake up and smile
Breathe. Stretch. Drink the whole glass of water.
The day hasn't touched you yet. How you meet it is how it meets you back.
second movement
Move like water
Bodies are built to flow, not to sit.
Nothing alive stays still. Motion is the rent you pay for a body worth living in.
third movement
Live it full
Life is short. Spend your best hours on what matters.
The loud things will always ask first. The things that count wait quietly to be chosen.
fourth movement
Give and keep no score
Spread happiness. Smile at strangers. Pick up the trash.
The kindness no one sees is the only kind that was ever really yours.
fifth movement
Say the true thing
Speak your heart. Kindly, but speak it.
Everyone is fighting something quiet. See them, and nothing good gets built in silence.
sixth movement
Make something
Learn forever. Chase what's hard because it's beautiful.
Usefulness is not the point. The making is what keeps a person awake.
seventh movement
Treat it as ceremony
A journey, never an escape.
The trip was never the point. What you carry home and live out is.
